Tea - preparing tips and health benefits
Here are some health facts about tea, reason for you to drink a lot or to use it as an ingredient for you drinks:
- You can drink a lot of tea, but without milk. It has no calories. If you will add semi-skimmed milk you will benefit from valuable minerals and calcium, but will gain around 13 calories per cup.
- Studies proved that green tea reduces the risk of cancer, protects against heart diseases, promote oral health and keep your bones strength. Green tea (and black tea, but lower percentage) helps restoring the acid/alkaline balance in the body.

- Drink tea instead of coffee. Studies proved that the average cup of tea contains less than half the level of caffeine than coffee (one cup contains only 50 mg per 190 ml cup).
- Tea is a natural source of fluoride and delivers 45% of your daily requirement if you take 3/4 cups per day.
- The strongest teas are Green Tea and Black Tea, which are obtained from the same plant - Camelia Sinensis and contain similar amounts of antioxidants and caffeine.

- Boil fresh water always, because re-boiling the water takes the oxygen out and can give a slightly metallic taste;
- Add the milk in a second;
- Brew for 1 to 2 minutes or to taste.
